NBA MVP Is Of Nigerian Descent

Iguodala’s father was born in Nigeria and his mother was born in America. The Illinois native was part of the USA gold medal winning 2012 Olympic “Redeemed Team”.

Warriors small forward, Andre Iguodala, was announced the winner of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award after his team, the Golden State Warriors, beat the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Championship.

Iguodala’s father was born in Nigeria and his mother was born in America. The Illinois native was part of the USA gold medal winning 2012 Olympic “Redeemed Team”.

Iguodala was the Warriors' most consistent player of the series, averaging 16.3 points (52.1 percent from the field, 40 percent from three), 5.8 rebounds and four assists over 36.8 minutes per game while serving as Golden State's primary defender on Lebron James.
