On Wednesday, a Chief Magistrate sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, jailed the two suspected killers of Professor Albert Adeoye Ilemobade.
The two suspects were both arraigned before Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Victoria Bob-Manuel. The first suspect, Daniel Ita, was a security guard, and the second, Olayemi Bamitale, was a former driver to the late Professor of Veterinary Medicine.

A SaharaReporters correspondent learned that, even as the suspects cried during the court proceedings, their plea deal was rejected by the Chief Magistrate.
Police Prosecutor, Isah Atanegbe, explained to the court how the accused carried out their murderous acts. Atanegbe sought for an adjournment to the case to enable him duplicate the case file for legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP).
Presiding over the case, Chief Magistrate Bob-Manuel ordered that the two accused persons should be jailed in Olokuta Prison while the case awaits trial.
The Chief Magistrate adjourned the case till the 18th of September, 2015.
