President Buhari also commended BBOG and its leaders for shepherding the BBOG movement, convincing the global community to put pressure on the Nigerian government, and bringing awareness to the issue of security for Nigerians.

Mrs. Ezekwesili told a SaharaReporters correspondent that an individual contacted BBOG today who claimed to have information regarding Boko Haram’s demands in a potential prisoner-for-hostage exchange, perhaps indicating the terrorist group’s willingness to return the kidnapped girls for government-held militant leaders.

Government spokesman Femi Adesina told SaharaReporters that he has no knowledge of a proposal for such an exchange.

According to the individual, Boko Haram's offer is limited to the girls abducted from their school in northeastern Nigeria in April 2014.
