Two unidentified men invaded the Party Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Amuwo-Odofin in Lagos this afternoon and instantly shot and killed the Party’s Assistant Treasurer, Daramola Omoshalewa.
Witnesses said the gunmen came on a motorbike, and one wore a Panama cap.
A Party source told SaharaReporters that it was clear the gunmen knew the victim and were on a targeted mission because they mentioned the name “Abu,” which was the name of the person standing next to Mr. Omoshalewa at the time they shot him.
"I heard the shooter saying ‘Abu leave there,’ before firing shots four times at their target,” the witness said.
"They could not be robbers because they called Abu and ordered him to steer clear before they fired shots at Daramola,” the source stressed.
The incident happened during the Party Excos' meeting at the party Secretariat located at 3rd avenue, K close, House 12 in Festac Town.
