Thirty Civilians, Including Children, Rescued In Borno State By 7th Army Division

The spokesman added that among the rescued ''include 21 children and a 6 day old infant, 7 women including and 3 nursing mothers as well as two elderly male adults.''

The 7th Army Division rescued no fewer than 30 civilians, including a six-day-old infant child, in Dikwa, Borno State yesterday.

The announcement was given to members of the media in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, through electronic message from the 7th Division spokesman, Colonel IT Gusau.

He stated that ''as a result of ongoing operations, under the aegis of OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE, to clear Dikwa and its environs from Boko Haram terrorists. The troops of 7th Division yesterday rescued 30 internally displaced persons from the hands of the terrorists in KWAYABE and WUFE wards of DIKWA LGA in Borno State.''
