The Ondo Political Youth Frontiers, a youth political group, has called on the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to investigate the affairs of the Party’s Ondo State chapter under the chairmanship of Isaac Kekemeke to avoid an impending crisis.

Mr. Kekemeke is a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ally of Governor Olusegun Mimiko who joined the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) until he became the State’s APC chairman.

The group, in an electronic statement sent to SaharaReporters on Wednesday evening by the group’s coordinator, Joel Ayowola, said it suspected foul play on the running of the Party chapter’s activities. Citing how the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State puts its house in order, the group alleged that Mr. Kekemeke is sabotaging APC members’ effort ahead of next year’s governorship election.

Mr. Ayowola explained that the statement became necessary as investigations emerged that Mr. Kekemeke is allegedly working with members of the State’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter. He said there is need for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to intercede and ask how Mr. Kekemeke is running the affairs of the party.

“We observe with great concern the manner in which the Kekemeke-led state executive is administering the Party in the State,” he said.

The coordinator disclosed that even with the good programs of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, the party needs a committed, seasoned, and grassroots politician that can help mobilized supporters ahead of the governorship election billed for next year.
