According to the group, though every political group and association is entitled to opinions and positions on issues of governance, the description of the immediate past senator from the Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, as "limited in strength" and "confrontational to constituted authority" is misplaced and a calculated attempt to alter the recent history of Bayelsa State.

In a statement, the group’s Executive Secretary, Mathew Ayibakuro, said the review of the political reach and performance rating of the governorship hopefuls was skewed to satisfy parochial interest. “We are of the view that the rating of Senator Heineken Lokpobiri was inadequate and does not portray his dynamic political prowess, human capacity development during his tenure in the Senate and the huge followership he command among the people of the existing Eight Local Government areas of the State."
