Mr. Alabi’s new position was announced on government owned on a radio station Monday night in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Rotimi Adelola.

The former PDP Chairman was among other party members and close allies of late Governor Olusegun Agagu ridiculed with such position in the statewide broadcast as monitored by SaharaReporters.

Although SaharaReporters our correspondent could not immediately obtain the official portfolio of Mr. Alabi, a source close to him said the former State PDP Chairman could not have received a more lackluster the position from the Governor.

In December 2014, the former PDP Chair had a prolonged battle with Governor Mimiko stemming from pressure by the previous government of President Goodluck Jonathan to hand in his resignation letter during the struggle for power between the old and new PDP members in the State.

Mimiko had formed the new-PDP members after he had defected from the now defunct Labour Party (LP) in the State to polarize the PDP and take over its leadership.

SaharaReporters gathered that Alabi was forced by the presidency to resign from office after been enticed with a so-called “juicy package”.

A die hard supporter of late Governor Olusegun Agagu, and prominent Akure indigene, Omolafe Adedayo, has been fused to head the Ondo State Property Development Company (OSPDC).

Adedayo, a former Chairman of Akure South Local Government under late Governor Agagu, attempted to contest for the House of Representatives but was tricked by Governor Olusegun Mimiko to step down.

Other appointees are; Otito Atikase-SSA, John Ola-Mafo a former Commissioner for information under late Governor Agagu who is to oversee the State Sports Council, Steve Giwa-State Water Corporation, Taye Akinyele-Local Government Service Commission, Niran Okunrinboye-Hospitals Management Board among others.
