At a resumed hearing, the witness, a police officer from the Ijebu Ode Division in Ogun State, refused to present himself at the court 9 session venue of the hearing of the case.

A SaharaReporters correspondent at the court learned that family members of the late professor were disappointed with the absence of the police officer.

Sola Adeyemi-Tuki, the lead counsel and Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), plead for an adjournment of the case.

Mrs. Adeyemi-Tuki faulted the lack of cooperation between the principal witness and his fellow officers of the Ondo State Command.

The presiding judge, Justice William Olamide, expressed concern at the delay and emphasized his desire that the case will be concluded without delay.

The judge asked the prosecution counsel to take quick action on the case and immediately ordered that the accused be remanded to prison custody.

The case was later adjourned until November 20th, 2015 for a continued hearing.
