SaharaReporters has learned that 7 civilians were killed by Boko Haram in the Kamuya village, which is located along the border between Borno and Yobe State last night.  Speaking on the phone with a SaharaReporters correspondent, local vigilante Ali Biu described the attack.

 

“We received a report early this morning that they [Boko Haram] slaughtered 7 people including 2 women and 5 elderly men at around 10:30 pm last night [Thursday],” Mr. Biu said.

According to Mr. Biu, the Boko Haram terrorists then burned Kamuya village to the ground. The vigilante also reported that the insurgent group abducted several civilians, including young girls and boys.
