At least four Boko Haram terrorists were killed, and scores injured, after they attacked the village of Nigeria’s Army Chief of Staff in Borno State yesterday.
The Boko Haram terrorists arrived at a village outside the Biu Local Government Area (LGA) in utility vehicles, where they engaged in a gun battle with the military which lasted more than two hours.
A military source told SaharaReporters that four Boko Haram members were killed but the survivors left with the dead bodies.
He also said that the firefights started at 6 A.M., and the assault on Mr. Buratai’s home village began just after 8 P.M. The military was able to repel the terrorists, sources said.
The military has not yet officially confirmed the attack or that it was at Mr. Buratai’s home village.
