Dutse Emir Suspended Sule Lamido’s Son As District Head Over Corruption Charges

The Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammadu Nuhu Sunusi, has suspended Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido, the son of the former Governor of Jigawa State Sule Lamido, as the District Head of Bamaina in a letter.

The letter to Mr. Lamido, dated January 31st 2016, declared that he was suspended as the District Head of Bamaina in Birin Kudu Local Government Area (LGA) because of his standing trial at the Federal Court for corruption.

The letter also revealed that the Secretary to the Jigawa State government requested the Emir to suspend Mr. Lamido from this position because of the outstanding corruption allegations against him.
