The threat was made in a statement issued to newsmen in Enugu by MASSOB’s Director of Information, Samuel Edeson.

“We shall use everything at our disposal to fight the Nigerian government, especially through civil disobedience.

“We are going to call for a sit-in in all of Biafra land and Lagos,” Mr. Edeson stated.

The statement also called for former President Olusegun Obasanjo to be sent to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged war crimes committed against the Biafran people.

According to Mr. Edeson, MASSOB will bring its message of freedom to the American, Chinese, French, and British embassies in Abuja. The freedom of the Biafran people, according to the statement, is “non-negotiable”.
