Expressing dismay over the appropriation bill, the party said it had identified discrepancies in the claims of the Governor as contained in his presentation that his administration had recruited over Two Thousand youths into the Agriculture Entrepreneurs Scheme of the state and constructed over 1,300 kilometres of roads across the state.

It also rejected the claims of the governor that his government pays the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Million [N350, 000, 000] annually as External Examination fees and recruited over 3,513 people into public service.

On Sunday, a press statement issued by the APC’s Director of Publicity, Steve Otaloro, and obtained by Saharareporters, described these claims as ‘“deceptive”, and challenged Governor Mimiko’s control of the State to address these claims.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC), however, doubt these claims and challenges Governor Mimiko to identify the location of all the 1, 300 kilometres of roads constructed, the names of over 3,513 workers employed into the public service and make further verifiable details on the N350 million annual external examination fees paid.

“Let it be known to the people of Ondo State that this budget, like so many before it, is an act of deception, a piece of political hocus-pocus designed to make us believe Governor Mimiko is working and judiciously spending the state resources wisely,” Mr. Otalora stated.

Last week, the APC attacked Mr. Mimiko for budgeting the whopping sum of N15. 8 billion to service debt out of the 2016 Appropriation bill presented to the State House of Assembly.

The Party also decried economic incompetence of Governor Mimiko and the forceful imposition of the Residency Card otherwise known as ‘Kaadi Igbeayo’ on the people of the State.
