NEMA Provides Relief To IDPs In Kaga, Borno State

The NEMA officials distributed relief materials to people from recently liberated communities surrounding Beinishiek, including Galling, Zakurari, Shettimari, Burma, Jalori, Shettimanuri and Walari respectively.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the Northeast provided relief to residents of communities liberated from Boko Haram in Borno State on Monday.

According to the NEMA-Northeast Information Officer Abdulkadir Ibrahim, the representative of the Zonal Coordinator of NEMA-Northeast and the agency's mobile medical team delivered food and other goods to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Kaga area of Borno State.

The NEMA officials distributed relief materials to people from recently liberated communities surrounding Beinishiek, including Galling, Zakurari, Shettimari, Burma, Jalori, Shettimanuri and Walari respectively.

Before the presentation the team met with Brigadier General BA Raji, Commanding Officer of 29 Brigade Task Force in Beinishiek, who is in charge of the satellite IDP camp in Beinishiek town. 

The team also conducted a need assessment to identify the medical supplies needed at the clinic set up by UNICEF to provide relief for women and children.
