Police Nab Four Serial Burglars in Ondo State

Officers of the Nigeria Police Force – Ondo State Command have arrested four serial burglars who specialized in stealing household goods in Akure.

Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, Commissioner for Police in the State, who paraded the suspects at the Command's headquarters, said the criminals broke into the houses of innocent civilians in the middle of the night.

She gave the names of the suspected burglars as: Segun Oluwasesan, Oyintola Amos, Kolawole Adebanjo and Segun Oluwasesan. The suspects are allegedly members of a burglary syndicate.

Ms. Ibifuro-Harrison detailed how officers intercepted one of the suspects around Ayedun Quarters in Akure after robbing a retail shop and carting away its goods.

She said that during their interrogations, the suspects confessed to their crimes and provided details on how the remaining suspects and members of the syndicate could be apprehended by the police in the State.

The Commissioner vowed that the police were ready to crack down all forms of criminal activity within the State, particularly in Akure.

Several items stolen by the burglars were recovered by police, including flat screen televisions, electric power generators, a video and compact disc player, laptops, and mobile phones.
