The said military vehicle was hit after another vehicle took the wrong road from Gaya junction and headed to another road of Jahun.
It was reported that a road transport worker alerted the soldiers that they were headed in the wrong direction from Gaya junction toward Jigawa as the soldiers were said to have been on their way to Maiduguri.
An eyewitness said 37 soldiers sustained injuries and were treated at the General Hospital Gaya. No deaths were recorded.
Efforts to contact spokesman of the Army in Bukavu Barrack Kano, Captain Ikechukwu Eze, proved abortive.
