Kidnappers Demand N70m Ransom For Bayelsa Lawmaker's Father

It was gathered that the elderly Mr. Iti was whisked away at about 9 AM on Saturday while on his way to Egweama from Okpoama in Brass Local Government Area of the State.

The captors of W.G Watson Iti, the father of the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency 2 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Alfred Belimote Watson, have established contact with the family.

According to Mr. Belimote, "the kidnappers of my dad called at exactly 11:30 PM with his own number requesting for a ransom of 70 million naira between Saturday and Wednesday."

It was gathered that the elderly Mr. Iti was whisked away at about 9 AM on Saturday while on his way to Egweama from Okpoama in Brass Local Government Area of the State.

SaharaReporters learnt that Mr. Iti was on his way to bury his late wife, Comfort Watson, when the gunmen attacked their speed boat and took him to an unknown destination.
