According to a recent report by Premium Times, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Sani Usman, confirmed that Ms. Wakil has reported at the Defense headquarters and has been directed to the Directorate of Military Intelligence.
Ms. Wakil had earlier said that she would report to the Army Barracks in Abuja or wait till she returns to Maiduguri to report at the Army headquarters.
Following her arrival at the barracks, she said the officers at the reception were not aware that she was declared wanted until she asked them to read some of the reports online. “They told me they will go and read and get back to me,” she said.
Her passport was collected by a supervisor who later entered the reception and told her he will return.
