Bayelsa State Lawmaker's Father Regains Freedom

The octogenarian regained freedom after spending eighteen days in captivity in the creeks of Bayelsa State.

Chief W.G. Watson, father of the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency 2 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has been set free from his captors.

The octogenarian regained freedom after spending eighteen days in captivity in the creeks of Bayelsa State.

Confirming the incident, Alfred Watson, his son, said "N50,000 for fuel " was paid as ransom to the kidnappers.

Earlier the kidnappers had asked for N20m as ransom.
