N4m Fraud: EFCC Tenders Exhibits During Trial Of Tarila Ebizimor

Ebizimor is standing trial before Justice Ibrahim Watila of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, on a 2-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense to the tune of Four Million Naira (N4,000,000.00).

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 tendered more exhibits in the ongoing trial of Tarila Ebizimor.

At the resuming hearing today, the prosecuting counsel, Ben Ubi, presented more evidence against the defendant through the prosecution witness, Aguzi Moses, an operative of the EFCC.

Among the documents tendered were various correspondence between the EFCC and Fidelity Bank. The said letters were admitted as exhibits by the court.

Also tendered are statements of account which shows the transaction between the complainant and the petitioner. 

Ebizimor is standing trial before Justice Ibrahim Watila of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, on a 2-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense to the tune of Four Million Naira (N4,000,000.00).

The defendant represented himself as a staff of NDDC, who could facilitate the award of contract to the petitioner and his company. The petitioner alleged that he transferred the total sum of Four Million Naira from his Fidelity bank account to the defendant.

Justice Watila adjourned matter to November 2, 2016 for continuation of trial.
