Nigerian Air Force Undertakes Patrol Of Abuja-Kaduna Railway

Ayodele Famuyiwa, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, explained that this operation is an extension of the NAF's surveillance of the Abuja-Kaduna highway, which commenced in August 2016 in response to the ongoing violence in the North West.

In an effort to better protect Nigerian citizens and critical infrastructure, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has begun to patrol the Abuja-Kaduna railway using helicopters.

The NAF disclosed this in a press release issued on Sunday. Ayodele Famuyiwa, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, explained that this operation is an extension of the NAF's surveillance of the Abuja-Kaduna highway, which commenced in August 2016 in response to the ongoing violence in the North West.

The scope of the aerial patrol also includes Abuja metropolis, Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road, Falgore Forest, and Minna. NAF personnel tasked with the aerial patrol will be on the look out for cases of armed robbery, kidnapping, and cattle rustling.
