Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara plan to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Wednesday, The Cable reports.
According to the online publication, Mr. Saraki’s media aide, Bamikole Omisore, confirmed that the senate president was already in London but had not yet visited the president. The Cable reported that the meeting would take place on Wednesday evening.
Joining the senate president, speaker of the house, and president are Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun and Senator Ahmed Lawan.
Their visit to Mr. Buhari, who has been receiving medical treatment in London since January 19, comes a week after All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Bola Tinubu and former Osun State Governor Bisi Akande paid a visit to the president.
Mr. Saraki spoke to the president over the phone last week and said he was in good spirits.
