Nigerian Government Appoints Three Directors, General Manager For Federal Airports Authority

Few hours after the Federal Government of Nigeria disengaged 10 directors from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), it has also appointed another set of directors and a general manager for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The directors are Group Capt. U.S.A. Sadiq, appointed as Director of Security Services (DSS), Capt. Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu, appointed as Director of Airport Operations (DAO); Engr. Salisu Nura Daura, appointed as Director of Maintenance and Engineering; and Aniefiok Umoh appointed as General Manager, Finance.

These newly appointed directors join Mrs. Nike Aboderin, who was appointed Director of Finance& Accounts (DFA), and Mr. Sadiku Abdulkadir Rafindadi, appointed as Director of Commercial & Business Development (DCBD) who were appointed on October 18, 2016.

These appointments came after a thorough restructuring at FAAN that saw the exit of Directors of Administration, Airport Operations, Maintenance and Engineering and Cargo Development; Mr. Ikechi Ukoh Esq., Captain Henry Omeogu, Engineer Olufemi Ogunode and Dr. Uche Ofulue respectively.

After the restructuring, new officers were posted in FAAN including, Engineers Salisu Daura General Manager Electrical, Musa Muhammed Dangana General Manager Welfare who will be reporting to Director Human Resources, Oyarelemi Mahmud Abu, General Manager Environment till these recent appointments oversaw Airport Operations.

Others postings are Shallangwa James Bata, Deputy General Manager (Cargo) who will report to Director of Commercial and Business Development, Rafindadi and from Abuja, Acting General Manager Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu.

In a statement signed by Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, Corporate Communications, the management and staff of FAAN welcome the new directors and general manager and looks forward to a good working relationship that will add value to the system.
