#SaveUNILAG Coalition Protest Rally Against University Management, Police To Hold On Thursday

The student activists were detained on the instructions of the university authorities, working in harness, following their demand for an explanation on the rash of rustication of students who participated in peaceful protests against poor hostel conditions.

The #SaveUNILAG Coalition, a network of student activists, will on Thursday hold a rally to protest the illegal incarceration of Mr. Femi Adeyeye and 12 other student activists of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) by a Special Offences Mobile Court in Lagos.                                

The student activists were detained on the instructions of the university authorities, working in harness, following their demand for an explanation on the rash of rustication of students who participated in peaceful protests against poor hostel conditions.                                              

One of those rusticated is Lawrence Success, a visually-impaired student. The rally, which begins at 8 a.m., will hold at Mobile Court, Task Force Building, opposite Arena Shopping Complex, Bolade, Oshodi, Lagos.
