At Least 3800 Nigerian Refugees Return Home

The refugees returned to their original homes in Bama local government area of Borno State on Saturday.

No fewer than 3800 Nigerian refugees have returned to Nigeria after spending three years of refuge in Cameroon due to the Boko Haram scourge.

The refugees returned to their original homes in Bama local government area of Borno State on Saturday.

The evacuation was led by Executive Secretary of Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Alkali at Banki, the border town between Nigeria and Cameroon.

The returnees received were given relief items such as rice, beans, mats, and blankets.

SaharaReporters learned that most of the returnees are originally from Banki, Gulumba village as well as Bama town, all in Bama LGA .
