"Suspected members of Boko Haram have attacked and slain 18 people, as well as many others, were forcefully taken away in Borno border town on Thursday night," a security source said.
The terrorists sneaked into the Internally Displaced Camp in Banki town, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State on Thursday, entering into tents at about 11 pm and slaughtered at least 18 youths.
They didn't use guns or bombs, but swords and shaped knives.
The security source said many young girls and women were abducted in the night operations by insurgents.
"We got the report about 18 persons found dead in the Banki IDP camp on Friday morning, the attackers believed to be suspected Boko Haram terrorists who perpetrated the evil act," the security told Saharareporters.
Another city source said the terrorists abducted civilians at Modu-Perobe Area, near the cemetery of Banki town bordering with Cameroon.
" They entered and checked if there were men in the tents, and not an elderly men or women. The people slaughtered were young men even many are missing people are able girls and boys." said city source.
Banki town bordering with Cameroonian hosts about 25,000 internally displaced persons
