EFCC Uyo Office Takes Off

The office, located on No. 3 Akparawa Crescent, Off Edet Akpan Avenue (4 lane), Uyo, started receiving petitions on August 8, 2017, when the Commission took over the office complex.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken the fight against corruption closer to the people of Akwa Ibom and neighboring Cross River State by establishing an office in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The office, located on No. 3 Akparawa Crescent, Off Edet Akpan Avenue (4 lane), Uyo, started receiving petitions on August 8, 2017, when the Commission took over the office complex.

The Zonal Head, Abdulkarim Chukkol, had earlier addressed some journalists who visited the office to ascertain if the Commission had truly commenced full operations.

Chukkol confirmed the presence of the Commission in the state and gradual take off of full operational activities.

"The Commission favors no political party over another, but we urge the people within the zone to see the nearness of the EFCC to their door steps as an advantage which they should maximize by alerting the commission of any form of economic or financial crimes," said Chukkol.
