President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the reinstatement of Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano’s security aides.

Femi Adesina, the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, stated this in a press release sent to journalists on Wednesday.

Mr. Buhari’s directive to reinstate the Anambra State governor’s security personnel came after the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, withdrew them, drawing criticizing from the Senate, who urged the president to reinstate them.

The governor had also complained about the withdrawal of his security aides ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
