A housewife, Maryam Sanda who was alleged to have stabbed and killed her husband, Bilyamin Bello has engaged the service of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria ( SAN ), Joseph Daudu to defend her in the murder case brought against her. Mr. Daudu himself faced a series of allegations of domestic abuse and wife battery after his wife, Ranti Daudu suddenly died in July 2017

The prosecution counsel, James Idachaba told the court that after the conclusion of their investigation they have come with the amended version of the charge which includes fresh evidence which revealed that some persons colluded with the accused to tamper with evidence of the alleged murder.
He noted that those who were alleged to have tampered with the evidence were also joined as an accessory after the fact of homicide. He urged the court to ignore the bail application moved by the defence in the interest of justice noting that such application can be entertained on the next adjourned day.
