Integrity Is The Hallmark Of Leadership By Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa

Since the news of the accident of Yusuf Buhari broke out, Nigerians from all walks of life, stood in the gap with the First Family, to pray for his recovery. I decided to join the President to save life, even though he has not shown similar sympathy, for other families experiencing worse distressing situations, apparently occasioned by his own directionless leadership. So whatever the President was doing to save Yusuf’s life, we were willing and ready to side with him.

But alas, the Presidency was spinning us round and round, with half-truths and barefaced lies, all along, as if it was another APC manifesto!

I know Omoyele Sowore very very well, enough to know that the Presidency was being economical with the truth when it told Nigerians that Yusuf had been discharged. The President has done well so far, in the confidence reposed in the Nigerian health sector and if Yusuf now requires further treatment abroad, it shouldn’t be hard at all, for the President to confide in Nigerians that he claims to govern.

There were serious fears expressed that Sheik El Zaky Zaky had died in government custody, but the Presidency says he’s alive, without any scintilla of proof at all. Whereas Yusuf was being flown to Germany, the Presidency was busy spinning shameless falsehood that he had been discharged following his rapid improvement.

When leadership lacks integrity, then it should be booted out of office, for no one should occupy any position of authority, if he cannot be trusted in his own personal matters, how much less public accounts.

I thank SaharaReporters and all other news media, that have kept faith with the people of Nigeria, to liberate us from this senseless and clueless leadership, that has continually rubbed itself in the mud day after day, since 2015.

If the President himself had cause to travel abroad and remained there for days, for his own medical treatment, how does he hope to be fooling Nigerians over his son’s health status, as if we pushed the young man into the accident? What a shame!
Notwithstanding this presidential gaffe, I will keep praying for Yusuf, and I urge all Nigerians to do likewise, for the sake of humanity, not that the President deserves it anyhow.

And whilst other Nigerians are busy mourning one loss or the other, all over the land, whilst salaries are not paid, whilst people are losing their jobs daily, whilst the fuel scarcity has persisted and whilst the nation is engulfed in near total blackout, the President is busy scheming to push Nigeria into another four years of doom, of suffering, of parochialism and cluelessness. Except and unless he has perfected his rigging formula against 2019, I cannot see how General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.), could ever dream of another four years of experimental leadership, of dictatorship and bigotry, of tribalism and hatred, in Aso Rock.
He does not deserve it at all.[story_link align="left"]57123[/story_link]

God please arise and heal Yusuf, at your own mercy. Please comfort all families that are grieving, from Benue to Taraba, to Borno and Adamawa, to Rivers and Bayelsa and indeed all over Nigeria. Please come and save your people from lies and wickedness, in high places.
