BREAKING: Buhari Meets With Oshiomhole, APC Senators

Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday led some senators elected on the platform of the ruling party to a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Wednesday’s meeting held two days before the commencement of the President’s scheduled 10-day vacation to the United Kingdom.

Although discussions at the meeting were not made public, SaharaReporters understands they touched on the state of the party.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the party, and Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Sokoto State, both defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Twelve of the 18 members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly subsequently followed suit the same day, just as Hafeez Abubakar, Kano State Deputy Governor.

Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President, and Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) were also in attendance.
