FG’s Investigation Into NASS Invasion Must Be Neutral, Says Saraki

“The very serious questions about last Tuesday’s siege on the National Assembly can only be answered through a thorough and neutral investigation," Saraki stated.

Exactly a week after the National Assembly was invaded by operatives of the Department of Security Services (DSS), Bukola Saraki, Senate President, has called on the Presidency to be neutral in its investigation into the issue.

He also called on the Federal Government to immediately set up a judicial panel of inquiry.

In a post via his social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter, Saraki stated that the DSS action could only be explained through a “thorough and neutral investigation.”

The post read: “The very serious questions about last Tuesday’s siege on the National Assembly can only be answered through a thorough and neutral investigation. I call on Mr. President to immediately institute an independent judicial panel of inquiry to look into that assault on our democracy.”
