BREAKING: Police Fire Tear-Gas Canisters At #FreeSamuelOgundipe Protesters

The protesters regrouped after tear gas was fired at them for demanding Samuel Ogundipe's release.

The Police have fired tea-gas canisters at Nigerians who marched to the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday morning to demand the release of detained journalist, Samuel Ogundipe.

As smoke engulfed the area, the protesters had to flee from the scene of the tear gas.

However, they regrouped and marched back to the Force Headquarters.

Ogundipe is being detained by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force for failing to reveal the source of his story on the invasion of the National Assembly by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
