Ajiya Samson Garba, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate has won the Takum 1 State Constituency By-election in Taraba State.
Polling 10,725 votes in the election, he beat his closest rival, Atem Ansho of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 3,268 votes.
According to the result sheet posted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday, less than 25 per cent of registered voters participated in the exercise.
Of a total of 73,183 registered voters, only 16,671 voters were accredited, of which 14,337 votes were valid.
