Adamawa APC Bans Declarations Of Political Ambition In The State Capital

Issuing a stern warning against declaration of interest in Yola, the state capital, Bilal said: "Henceforth all aspirants vying for political offices such as senatorial seat and federal House of Representatives are to declare their aspirations in their various zonal offices of the party, while those aspiring for the House of Assembly are asked to make the declaration at the local government party offices across the state."

Ibrahim Bilal, Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa State, has banned declaration of aspiration to contest all political offices except office of the Governor in the state capital.

The APC in Adamawa also directed that only the governorship aspirants are to declare their intentions at the party secretariat in the state capital.

Ahmed Lawan, the Organising Secretary, issued the Chairman's warning on behalf of the state working committee of the party, stressing that "all aspirants must adhere to this directive or face sanctions".

Ahmed Lawan also maintained that as politics remains local, all aspirants must make use of the rural areas to demonstrate and garner grassroot support for the party instead of a grandeur show in the state capital.

Prior to this warning, almost all  declaration by aspirants were done at the party's state secretariat in Yola.
