Melania Trump Set To Visit Africa For The First Time

“This will be my first time travelling to Africa and I am excited to educate myself on the issues facing children throughout the continent, while also learning about its rich culture and history," she stated.

Melania Trump, wife of Donald Trump, President of the United States, is expected to embark on her maiden visit to Africa in October.

According to CNN, a statement by the First Lady noted that the visit would afford her the opportunity to learn about Africa’s rich culture and history.

She said: “This will be my first time travelling to Africa and I am excited to educate myself on the issues facing children throughout the continent, while also learning about its rich culture and history.

“We are a global society and I believe it is through open dialogue and the exchanging of ideas that we have a real opportunity to learn from one another.”

Although the countries she is expected to visit have not yet been revealed, according to reports, the journey to Africa will be her second solo trip since becoming first lady. Her first solo trip was to Canada in September 2017.
