Bayelsa Police Nab Cultist On Wanted List

Prince Owei, a notorious cult leader and an armed robbery suspect, known for nefarious activities in Bayelsa State has been arrested by the state Police Command.

The suspect, also known as 'Big Fela' 19, hails from Ikibiri community of Bayelsa State, but resides at St. Peters, Ovom.

He was arrested at the Sports Complex, Yenagoa, on his way to watch a football match with a locally-made revolver pistol, one live cartridge and packets of Rohypnol tablets in his possession.

In a statement, Asinim Butswat, the Police spokesman, said the suspect confessed to being a member of the Icelanders cult group.

He added that the suspect would be arraigned before a court after investigations are concluded.

Meanwhile, the Command has appealed to members of the public to provide useful information that will assist the Police in fighting crime in the state.
