JUST IN: Babachir Lawal Arrives Court As 'Grass-Cutting Trial' Kicks Off

Babachir Lawal, the sacked Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has arrived the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

He is standing trial over allegations of having private interest in the approval of N544,119,925.36, for the removal of invasive plant species and simplified irrigation.

The former SGF will be tried on a 10-count charge, alongside Hamidu David Lawal, Sulaiman Abubakar, Apeh John Monday, Rholavision Engineering Limited and Josmon Technologies Limited.

He arrived the court on Tuesday morning alongside operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
