BREAKING: Bayelsa PDP Supporters Protest Against INEC For 'Accepting Fake Results' From Two LGs

They were stopped at the Imgbi roundabout leading to the INEC office by security operatives comprising policemen and soldiers.

Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State are marching to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Office in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, over an allegation that the commission accepted fake results from Nembe/Bassambiri, and parts of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area (LGA).

Thousands of youth have taken to the streets in Yenagoa to protest alleged election malpractices in the recently-concluded presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

Bearing placards that carried messages about ballot box snatching and election fraud, the youth converged on the Peace Park opposite the Government House, before marching to the INEC office on Swale road.

However, they were stopped at the Imgbi roundabout leading to the INEC office by security operatives comprising policemen and soldiers.

About four armoured vehicles were stationed at the Imgbi roundabout.
