Insurgence, killing, kidnapping and all forms of evil in Nigeria doesn't describe our leaders as a failure, but vividly shows lack of love for one another, if we don’t fight and protect our country, then I must say we are failure NOT the government.
Sudan just kicked out a dictator while many Nigerians are applying for a visa to travel abroad. Youths – mainly women in Sudan brought down a tyrant. News filtering in from Sudan suggests that Omar Al-Bashir has resigned amid protests in that country and that all Political prisoners have been released. It is important to note that, Freedom cometh by struggle.
Sudanese kicked out the tyrant by non violent protest without anyone dying in the process.
Here in Nigeria, fellow oppressed Nigerians laugh at you when you call for protest. They are only experts in ranting and blaming the government on social media.
Revolution is a spectators sport, the majority will sit in the stands and watch the factions fight, at the end they will choose side with the team that is winning. To achieve FREEDOM, Many will be imprisoned. Many will be killed. But in the end, freedom is worth all of that.
The reason why Nigerians are always afraid of coming out to join non-violent and peaceful protests is fear of attack by security agencies or arrest. No Army in the world can dare to crush a crowd of 500,000 or 1million protesters on the streets. In Nigeria, you call for a PROTEST, you can barely see 100 people but wait for Big Brother audition, millions will turn up. Just take Zamfara and other northern regions for instance, how many people came out to protest? Not even #EndSARS protest, you can barely see 100 people on the streets for serious issues that affect everyone.
If we continue to wait on elections for liberation to come, our heartless old cabals will always find their way to the top so as to inflict more suffering on us! They enjoy seeing us kill ourselves, being kidnapped, slaughtered, just as Batiatus (the Roman owner of a gladiatorial school in Capua) enjoy and have pleasure seeing gladiators kill themselves in Spartacus.
Nigerians have neglected and refuse to support heroes/revolutionaries, the likes of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Chief Gani Fawehinmi and Omoyele Sowore who have the passion for this country and also ready to liberate Nigeria from the hands of the slaves masters simply because we are loyalist to the ruling class. They are the ones who have lost their personalities to preach truths without fear, which perhaps has been labelled as hate from the opposition. THE REVOLUTIONARIES, Those who some of you labelled troublemakers. The ones who follow their souls and are not a follower of a supreme being a celebrity or a demigod but love their country and want some form of change without returning to the status quo. The ones who see things from another angle and have no reverence for the status quo, you can trash or bash them, disagree with them, hate or slander them but the only thing you can not do is isolate them or kill their ideas. A follower of their own souls; they are the ones who usually change the course of history forever. Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Chief Gani Fawehinmi and Omoyele Sowore (publisher Sahara Reporters) are God sent and revolutionaries who have a task of liberation not only of the downtrodden but the oppressors, but we Nigerians will always find an excuse to delay our freedom.
#DemocraticSudan is only possible because some citizens in that country were willing to make the needed sacrifice. PROTESTS have made two tyrants to resign within a month: Algeria and Sudan, Non-violent peaceful protests. Nothing will ever change until you make efforts to change it, it will be status quo ante forever.
Radical or revolutionary consciousness is the perception of oneself as un-free, oppressed and finally it is the discovery of oneself as one of the oppressed who must unite to transform the objective conditions of their existence in order to resolve the contradiction between potentiality and actuality. Revolutionary consciousness leads to the struggle for one’s own freedom in unity with others who share the burden of oppression.
We need to be freed from freedom and revolution is the only solution and way forward.
