Another Ganduje Video Surfaces

The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, has explained why the agency failed to probe Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s bribery allegation, pointing out that it was not carried along in the investigation by the Daily Nigerian newspaper that reported the bribery allegation and that the governor’s immunity prevented the commission from taking any action.

In his address at the opening ceremony of a two-day meeting on the anti-corruption fight in Kano, Rimingado said the commission also failed to act because it did not know the agenda of the journalist who released the video.

Although he confirmed that the agency was established by the state government, he, however, stated that it acts independently.
