Bauchi: Students Protest Death Of Colleagues

According to a report, a bridge linking one of the hostels to another building within the institution’s premises collapsed, leading to the death of the two students while two others injured.

Following the death of two students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi State, colleagues of the deceased have taken to the streets to protest against the management of the school.

According to a report by Channels Television, a bridge linking one of the hostels to another building within the institution’s premises collapsed, leading to the death of the two students while two others injured.

The protesting students blamed the management of the school for the tragedy, accusing them of negligence.

The situation forced the management of the school to close down the institution on Tuesday.

Confirming the death of the two students, President of the Student Union Government of ATBU, Naziru Mohammed, said his colleagues died while two others sustained serious injuries.

Public Relations Officer of the university, Andee Iheme, also confirmed the incident, according to Legit.ng.
