Two Killed, Five Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident

The bus with registration number APP721ET was heading to Ibadan from Lagos when it lost control and rammed into the motorcycle marked SRA156WE at the Olowotedo area of Mowe.

Two persons lost their lives, while five others sustained injuries in an accident involving a vehicle and motorcycle at the Mowe area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday night.

Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, Mr Clement Oladele, on Sunday told the News Agency of Nigeria that the bus with registration number APP721ET was heading to Ibadan from Lagos when it lost control and rammed into the motorcycle marked SRA156WE at the Olowotedo area of Mowe.

He said that eight persons were involved in the accident.

Oladele said, “The corpses of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of Divine Touch Hospital, Mowe, while the survivors are also receiving treatment at the same hospital.” 

He admonished motorists to exercise caution and adhere strictly to 50km per hour so as to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
