Sean Connery, the first actor to play the iconic role of James Bond, has died at the age of 90.
The Scottish actor went on to portray the character seven times.
He died peacefully in his sleep while in the Bahamas, having been "unwell for some time", the BBC quotes his son as saying.
His acting career spanned five decades and he won an Oscar in 1988 for his role in The Untouchables.
Connery’s other films included Hunt for Red October, Highlander, Indiana Jones, Last Crusade and The Rock.
