The lawmaker said the murders were a deliberate attempt by mischief makers to disrupt the relative peace process that the ethnic groups in the area had initiated.

He said he had spoken with a state government official who told him that the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, had vowed that the state would not relent in its efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act and bring them to justice.

Magaji appealed to his constituents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies and provide useful information that would lead to the apprehension of those who carried out the evil act.
