Man Gets 22-year Imprisonment For Raping 14-year-old Stepdaughter In Cross River

He was found guilty of raping the teenager on August 15, 2018 at his residence on No 54 Afokang Street, Calabar South Local Government Area.

A High Court sitting in Calabar, Cross River State capital, has sentenced one Emmanuel Thompson Udo to 22 years imprisonment, for raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter.

He was found guilty of raping the teenager on August 15, 2018 at his residence on No 54 Afokang Street, Calabar South Local Government Area.

Delivering her judgement on Tuesday, Justice E. E. Ita, Acting Chief Judge of the state, sentenced Udo to 22 years jail term without an option of fine.

His conviction was secured, courtesy of the Basic Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI); Hon. Tanko Ashang, Attorney General of Cross River State; Mr. Felix Itittim, the DPP; Blessing Egwu and the Nigeria Police Force.
