A human rights activist and convener of the advocacy group, Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has mocked a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode over his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He stated that the former PDP member should stop using VPN (Virtual Private Network) to gain access to the microblogging site, adding that his defection to the ruling party should guarantee a total obeisance to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adeyanju stated this on his Twitter page while reacting to Fani-Kayode's official defection to the APC.

He said, "Now that FFK has defected to APC, he should stop using VPN to tweet and observe the Twitter ban by his best president, Buhari."

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, Fani-Kayode announced his official return to the ruling APC.

He was subsequently presented to President Buhari by the Chairman of APC National Caretaker/ Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), and the governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Fani-Kayode claimed to be instrumental in the defection of three PDP governors to the APC.

SaharaReporters once called the APC "a filthy, rat-infested sinking ship" and referred to the party as "darkness" and the "the Almajiri Peoples Congress (APC)".
