In Lekki Toll Gate, at the venue of the massacre that happened a year ago while others were injured as orchestrated by the Nigerian government, men of the Lagos Police Command have also arrested two protesters, one reportedly being a journalist of the LegitTV.
The Nigerian youths and other victims of police brutality rose across the country last year to demonstrate against the excesses of a tactical police unit known then as Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other bad governance emanating from President Muhammadu Buhari regime.
But, exactly a year ago, soldiers appeared at the scene of the protest in Lekki which has been most peaceful during the protests and opened live bullets at protesters which resulted in deaths and others sustained injuries till today.
