World Football Body, FIFA Bans Nigerian Coach For Two Years

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee conveyed this decision to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Remi Amadi, coach of Cofine FC of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has been banned globally from all football-related activities for two years by the world football-governing body, FIFA.

This followed an earlier ban imposed on the coach by the NFF Disciplinary Committee on August 16, 2021.

 

The NFF Integrity Unit forwarded the said decision of the NFF Disciplinary Committee and all the relevant documentation to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee via a letter dated August 25, 2021, requesting the Committee to extend the sanction beyond Nigeria.

This is in accordance with Article 66, FIFA Disciplinary Code.

 

The worldwide effect was activated by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee at its meeting on October 5, 2021.
